Aspen specializes in the care and treatment of anxiety and anxiety-related disorders (including panic, phobia, and obsessions/compulsions). In particular, Aspen’s practice focuses on high-achieving women from all racial and ethnic backgrounds as they navigate life, career, and family. Using a trauma-informed approach, Aspen’s work with patients has three main phases:

  1. Understanding the self and how you are showing up in your life

  2. Implementing and practicing new (sometimes uncomfortable!) ways of relating to self and others

  3. Reflecting on what is and isn’t working (repeat)

While Aspen co-creates therapeutic goals with her clients, her primary focus is always on helping her clients develop their own insight and self-understanding. This allows you to take the learning from your session out into your real life.

Aspen grew up in Seattle, attended Williams College, and then took several years to work before returning to graduate school and receiving her MA in Mental Health Counseling from NYU.

Thanks to the time between her degrees, Aspen came to her career in therapy through several other fields, including the performing arts, non-profits, finance, and emerging tech/blockchain. Because of these varied professional experiences, Aspen has a strong sense of the day to day in several different careers (and even moonlights as an executive coach).

Outside of work, Aspen spends most of her time with her two young children. Occasionally she sneaks away to the gym for a workout, or to a jazz club where she’ll probably ask to sing (if the vibe is friendly).
